We have some new pictures to hang on our wall. I can say as the mom of this brood that they are a good looking bunch!

Last night, Evan was having his evening “fussy time” and Ryan was doing the bounce walk with him around the living room. It usually takes a few minutes and he settles down to sleep.
But he kept fussing and fussing. He wasn’t wet or hungry so I just thought it was going to take a little longer than usual.
Finally, Ryan said, “Every time we talk past you he turns his head and fusses louder. He can see you and wants you.” Sure enough, he was asleep almost immediately.
I didn’t think he could prefer Mommy so young. I was certainly happy about it but tried to downplay to Ryan.
Later, as I was snuggling a sleeping Evan on the couch, I realized the “Dad’s Perspective”: He translated Evan’s momentary preference this way – off the hook…
Actually, Ryan had just gotten numbers 2 and 3 transported to bed and suffuciently tucked and prayed for. Fact is, you can’t be too off the hook when there are 4 children in the family. It is definitely a zone defense around here at bedtime….and mealtime….and loading up to leave time…and…
Evidently, there was a corrupted file causing my blog to not be accessed for a couple of weeks. Glad we’re on the up and up now!
I’m pretty tired tonight to write much, but here are a couple of funnies from Ellie. She has been coming up with some doozies lately. Here’s a sample:
-E: (Her birthday is in 2 weeks) ”Oh, I liked that when I was four.”
Me: “You are four.”
E: “Actually, I am really 4 and 4 4ths.”

We are snuggling on the couch watching a cooking show while I was feeding Evan the other day. The focus was on mediterranean food.
E: “Did you know that I remember eating chickpeas when I lived in China.”
