We have been enjoying a beautiful Colorado August.  We’ve had many trips to the area parks…in fact yesterday, we went twice!

We are making another big change  as both girls will be going to Front Range Christian School this fall.  Hannah for 4th grade and Ellie for Pre-Kindergarten.  We are very excited for yet another new chapter for the Hale family and believe that this is the best decision for our big girls.  School starts next Tuesday so this week we have been trying to fit a few last bits of fun.  We to went to the new American Girl store, did some school shopping, and today we are heading to the Children’s Museum with some friends.

Here are some recent photos:

Some people call this a jungle gym, Julia calls it the world’s largest teething toy.

It is hard to see, but that is Ellie climbing the rope about 30 feet up in the air.  I love that gymnastics is such a perfect fit for her!  She has the physical ability to do it, but also the tenacity to strive to do whatever her coach asks of her.

Cooling off in the shade on a hot day.

Playing in the dirt at Daddy’s softball tourney.  They lost the tourney despite their best effort — Ryan has the skinned knees from catching an out to prove it!

Playing on the blanket at the tourney.  Yep, she got in the dirt too a little bit later.

Yes, they are playing in a box.  Yes, I have 5 children sometimes.

An American Girl – She dressed herself for the occasion.  They clean up pretty well from the dirt of the ball field to a classy store – I love it!

Just another pretty and happy shot of Julia.  Evan slept the entire time we were shopping.  He’s such a boy!
