Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to the last week or so. The days are moving swiftly and we have been busy enjoying all the fall festivities: pumpkins, Alpine sliding, Boulder, Adoption Day.

Ellie rode on an Alpine Slide in Golden with her Daddy.
It was a physics lessons, really.
She learned – “what goes up, must come down”. Look at that huge smile – and yes, they rode it again!
Two sisters celebrating Ellie’s Adoption Day.
And Mom and Dad with our girl! We love you, Ellie Grace, and we are so thankful that you are our little girl.
Here is our family standing in front of a boulder in Boulder.
We drove up to Boulder on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the downtown area. It was a beautiful fall day, CU had a football games so there were a lot of people milling about, watching street performers, eating ice cream.
Happy Monday!
Everyone is off and busy doing their “work”.

Hope you are having a good start to the week too!
Today was a snowy Saturday in Denver. We went out for breakfast and ran a couple of errands. We came home and spent the rest of the day on Perspective’s homework and projects with a nice fire in the background.
Ellie just got out of a quick bath while Ryan and Hannah ran for a pizza and a movie. I told her to go put on something warm, thinking it would be her slippers and robe….

I tend to practically jump out of my skin every time my phone rings these days…
Gee, do you think I am eager to get the call about Treasure?
Last night, Ryan and I established procedure since our Adoption Specialist has told me that she will call me first – I have permission to call him repeatedly until he answers even if he is in the middle of a meeting. In other words, I can be a nuisance until he answers (just this once).
We are so eager to find out the answer to the girl/boy question. We will be completely happy either way. My Mom always told me (I was the third and last child) that it didn’t matter if I was a girl or a boy, and I wasn’t an after-thought to our family even though they already had a boy and a girl. She always said that I completed our family. I feel that same way, Treasure will complete our family…
There are still several families who are ahead of us who have waited longer, but Treasure is on my mind and heart very much these days.
We had one of those Saturdays where we had no commitments so I was happy to stay home, do laundry, deep clean bathrooms. I also spent a lot of time trying to coordinate with family and finding airline deals for upcoming holiday traveling.
Ryan made a late breakfast, then the kids were in and out with neighbors most of the afternoon. We never really ate lunch and then went out for pizza at Costco while running errands.
Later on, while putting groceries away, kissing kids good-night, and cleaning up the kitchen we hardly actually used (that is a phenomenon that continually amazes me), I thought, “oh no, they didn’t drink any milk today.” If you know me, you know I am big on my kids getting their milk.
Then, I though, “oh, yeah, I know they had milk, because I know they ate Oreo’s…”
We have a group on the ipod that Ryan downloaded several months ago called “Glory Revealed”. It is everyone’s favorite and we all know all the words.
Ellie likes to know the name of the songs. Today, while discussing the song name, Hannah asked about the name of the group.
She said, “I think that means we are supposed to give God glory when we listen to this music.”
“Yep,” I smile, “You got it, Hannah.”
You got it.
