As I have said, we have a very full fall. We quietly cherished Ellie’s adoption day, then it was on to the birthdays. Ellie turned 3 on Oct. 23. We celebrated with Mimi and Papa and an orange cake (well orange icing, of course the cake was chocolate) and orange ice cream, as requested by Miss Ellie herself. |

Then, Grandma and Aunt Jo came into town for a visit and a little “woo-hoo” to celebrate the birthdays. We enjoyed relaxing and playing with them for several days last week. Here is a picture of Ellie enjoying one of her favorite past times with Grandma. Ellie knew she had a captive audience to read to her – I think they read for over an hour straight. I’m not sure who enjoyed herself more. |

Finally, Hannah turned 8 years old on Sunday and we celebrated with a pool party at a local community center. She was thrilled that her friends could join her on her special day. I was thrilled that the party wasn’t at my home and that the entertainment was the pool. It was a great day for Hannah.
Our girls are our treasures and it is such an honor to celebrate them. |
